Print-on-demand platforms reject files for reasons that are precise, technical, and rarely explained well: a spine width that no longer matches your page count, a PDF that isn't PDF/X-1a compliant, fonts that never embedded, images below 300 DPI, text sitting outside the safe margins, or an RGB file headed for a CMYK press. Worse, printers usually report these one at a time, so fixing the error you were told about just earns you a different rejection two days later.

File Fix is a standalone diagnostic and repair service, available whether or not GKS Creative designed the book. We check your file against every common rejection cause at once, tell you in plain English what's wrong, and either hand you a step-by-step guide or repair it ourselves and deliver print-ready files.

File Fix also covers PDF preflight and general file troubleshooting. Send us a file before you upload it and we will check it against your printer's specifications, or send us one that is already stuck and we will find what is blocking it.

Three tiers, clearly priced

• Tier 1: $99. One PDF file, novels up to 300 pages. Full diagnosis, simple repairs included, and a step-by-step guide to the rest.
• Tier 2: $299+. Two to three PDF files, non-fiction and novels over 300 pages. We do the repairs and deliver print-ready PDFs.
• Tier 3: $599+. Four to five PDF files. Diagnosis, adjustment, and repair of the source files, plus correct templates built to your specifications.

Not sure which you need? Start at Tier 1. If the file turns out to need more, your $99 is credited in full against the higher tier. Diagnosis comes back within three to five business days.
